  Anti-fog lenses are treated with a coating on the inner surface that prevents the condensation build-up that causes goggles to mist over mid-swim. That fogging happens when warm, humid air from your face meets the cooler lens surface, and without treatment it can cloud your vision within minutes of getting in the water. The anti-fog coating works by absorbing moisture rather than letting it bead and scatter light, keeping your view clear from the first length to the last. It is worth noting that the coating can degrade over time, particularly if you wipe the inside of the lens, so rinsing your goggles in clean water after each use and letting them air dry is the best way to make it last.
