The Man, the Myth, the Medallist
Matt’s rapid rise from junior prospect to senior star saw him win Olympic gold in the 4x200m freestyle relay at the Tokyo Olympics when he was just 18 years old. Since then, he's won multiple international medals, including an individual gold at the World Championships, and European SC Championships in 2023. At the Speedo British Championships - Olympic Trials in April 2024 Matt won the 100m and 200m freestyle events qualifying for the individual events for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Head in the race
Matt loves the competitive aspect of the sport, saying "It's always great fun, especially racing with these boys… In the summer we'll all get to race together as part of that relay, which everyone knows just how exciting that is but it's always a privilege and an honour to race alongside them."
